The death has occurred of

Donal ARMSTRONG

Died suddenly on 13th October 2024. Much loved son of Aisling and Damien, dearest brother of Caoimhe, Aoibheann and Diarmuid, deeply loved by his adoring grandparents Rosemary, James, Lilah and the late William and a cherished nephew and cousin. He will be sorely missed by all of his extended family and friends.

His remains will be reposing in his home, 24 Dunboyne Park, Eglinton from 4 - 8 pm on Wednesday and Thursday. House strictly private at all other times.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Star of The Sea Church, Faughanvale on Friday at 12 o'clock. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to Foyle Search and Rescue, 20 Victoria Road, Derry.

May he rest in eternal peace x

Such a beautiful picture of Donal and I’ve been reminiscing over all the lovely days with had with Donal and all of you in Birmingham. I will continue to remember Donal with that cheeky beautiful smile. Although I can’t be with you today, know that you are all so much on my heart and prayers and will stop all that I’m doing at 12 today to sit and think and pray and remember you all but especially your beautiful son.

Donal, we had the privilege of knowing you as a young boy. When Donal came we knew it was always going to be great fun. Paddy and Donal hurling themselves around the room dancing to crazy frog. When it finished, only to shout again, again. The dimples, the freckles and the mischievous smile. The baiting of Mad Dog McGraw. We knew you back then and we were all the better for it.
You will remain a legend with the Fitzsimon family. Our hearts are with your beautiful family and ache at your parting.
