Dearest Aisling, Damien, Caoimhe, Aoibheann and Diarmuid. My heart aches for you all. Such a beautiful picture of Donal and I’ve been reminiscing over all the lovely days with had with Donal and all of you in Birmingham. I will continue to remember Donal with that cheeky beautiful smile. Although I can’t be with you today, know that you are all so much on my heart and prayers and will stop all that I’m doing at 12 today to sit and think and pray and remember you all but especially your beautiful son.

Donal, we had the privilege of knowing you as a young boy. When Donal came we knew it was always going to be great fun. Paddy and Donal hurling themselves around the room dancing to crazy frog. When it finished, only to shout again, again. The dimples, the freckles and the mischievous smile. The baiting of Mad Dog McGraw. We knew you back then and we were all the better for it.
You will remain a legend with the Fitzsimon family. Our hearts are with your beautiful family and ache at your parting.
In our hearts forever
