Winifred Rose ‘Una’ CROSSEY
Winifred Rose ‘Una’ Crossey, entered Eternal Life: 14th May 2024
The family of the late Winifred Rose (Una) Crossey would like to sincerely thank the extended family, friends and neighbours and all who kindly supported us at the time of our mother’s passing. To those who called to the wake house, sent sympathy and mass cards and flowers, attended the reception of the remains and/or the requiem mass, as well as those who joined the services through the webcam. We are deeply indebted to you for your prayer, thoughts and practical support. We are most grateful to Bishop Alan McGuckian for attending mum’s requiem mass, and to those priests who concelebrated: her parish priest Canon Colm McBride, Fr. Gerry McCloskey, Fr. John Burns and Fr. Robert Sloan. We thank the musicians and singers who animated both liturgies so beautifully and to the parish stewards and sacristans and all who assisted us in any way. We wish to thank Margaret Bradley and the St Clare's Community Hall Committee and its volunteers, and Ballymacrickett Primary School, for the beautiful reception following the funeral. A special word of thanks for the guidance and professionalism given to us by Peter Eastwood Funeral Undertakers and for their assistance to us with all the arrangements.
In addition to mum's home parish of Glenavy & Killead, the family would like to thank the parishioners of Christ the Redeemer. Belfast and the Colin-Derriaghy Pastoral Community as well as Fr Colin's previous parishes of Newcastle, Co. Down and Holy Family, Belfast.
The Holy Sacrifice of the mass will be offered for your intentions. We trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all.
Una's month's mind will take place in St. Joseph's Church, Chapel Hill Road, Glenavy at 6:30pm on Friday 21st June 2024
With heartfelt thanks from her children,
Michael, Peter, Fr Colin, Ciara and Patricia
