The death has occurred of:
Vera DONAGHY
The family of the late Vera Donaghy would like to extend our sincere thanks to all our kind relatives, friends and neighbours who sympathised and supported us in our recent bereavement.
We are most grateful to Fr Paddy Hughes and Fr Charles McCann for their spiritual support and guidance and for celebrating Vera’s Requiem Mass, and to Nuala McCormick and Briege Canavan for the beautiful singing and music which made the Funeral Mass so special. Thank you also to the Church Sacristan, Eucharistic Ministers and all those who participated in the funeral liturgy.
Sincere thanks to Joanna and all at Niall A. Loughran Funeral Directors for the professional and dignified manner, in which they carried out the funeral arrangements and to the grave diggers who prepared Vera’s final resting place with great care.
Thank you to Lissan Hall Committee for the use of their premises and volunteers, and to the Greenvale Hotel for providing the catering after the funeral. Thanks also to St. Michael’s GAC, for their help, support and generosity at this difficult time.
The family would like to thank the staff of Weavers Care Home for the care and kindness shown to Vera during her time there, and to the doctors and nurses of Antrim Hospital and the staff of Brooklands Care Home in her final few weeks.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
Vera’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Monday 3rd April 2023 at 7.30pm in St. Michael’s Church Lissan.
