Una WILLIAMSON (née Holland)

Passed away 8th August 2024, peacefully at home – Dromore, Caledon.

We the family of the late Una Williamson wish to extend our sincerest thanks to all who sympathised with us following the death of our mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, cousin, aunt, neighbour, and a kind, sincere and confidential friend to many people.

The thoughtfulness and support extended to us through many acts of kindness by family, friends, neighbours and colleagues was greatly appreciated and will always be remembered. Thank you most kindly to all who visited the residence to sympathise and support us, telephoned, sent cards, messages, e-mails, brought food and attended the funeral, and to those who kindly donated money in Una’s memory to Caledon Presbyterian Church, c/o David Cranston, Holmes of Dungannon Funeral Directors. Thank you!

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Bob Allely for the pastoral care and support he provided to Mother and the family, and for conducting the Funeral Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Una. Also special thanks to our resident minister at Caledon Presbyterian Church, Rev. Joanne Smith, who kindly returned from vacation to sympathise with the family, give spiritual support and introduce Rev. Bob Allely at the church. Special thanks to the organist, Mrs. Selina Allen for her musical accompaniment, and to the Caterers for providing refreshments after the funeral service in the adjacent church hall. Special thanks to Mervyn Parr, a lifetime family friend, for playing the bagpipes at the church and at the committal in the adjoining graveyard. To Mr. Richard Emerson and staff who kindly took care of grave arrangements alongside the church caretaker Mr. Bob Clarke.

We would like to extend our thanks to those who cared for Mother in recent years and months. Our thanks to Tynan Surgery, Dartan Ree, Tynan, Co. Armagh. Dr. Carlisle, Dr. McAlinden, Dr. Grant, Dr. McElhatton, Nurse Practitioners, District Nurses and staff for their excellent care and compassion to Mother. The Acute Home Care Team, who always extended prompt health care to Mother at her residence. To Tynan Pharmacy, Main Street, Tynan, who very kindly and efficiently provided and delivered prescription medicines to Mother’s home on numerous occasions, no matter the weather conditions. Thank you so much.

We would like to thank the Domiciliary Care Service Staff, most of all Mother’s carers within the home – Liz, Irene, Jenny, Jackie, Alex, Karen, and indeed many others who showed excellent care and kindness in day-to-day care needs. Thank you.

Thank you to Mr. David Cranston, Holmes of Dungannon Funeral Directors, for the very dignified and professional way in which they carried out the funeral arrangements. We also very much appreciate the guidance, kindness, consideration and support that Mr. Cranston, and his colleagues and staff, committed to us at this sad time.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation and our gratityde to all who helpd in any way.
