November 9, 2024. Peacefully in Croagh Patrick Care Home. Late of Mountainside, Whiteways, Newtownards. Dearly loved wife of the late Dr Geoff Bell and much loved mother of Derek and Judith, mother-in-law of Louise and Ken, devoted and adored grandmother of Kat, Megan and Will and beloved great gran of Henry, Robin and Athena.

Service in S. Clarke & Son’s Funeral Church, Newtownards on Thursday 14th November 2024 at 10.30am. Funeral afterwards to Clandeboye Cemetery. The family have asked that mourners wear colourful clothing.

Family flowers only please. Donations may be sent if desired to Assisi Animal Sanctuary c/o S. Clarke & Son Funeral Directors, 12 Court Square, Newtownards BT23 7NY.

Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all the family circle.

Sending my deepest and sincerest condolences to Judith and Derek on the death of their Mother. Sheelagh was my neighbour and friend for almost 25 years, and we shared so many cuppas together, she with her coffee and I with my tea! And there was always a piece of homemade cake or shortbread. Her door was always open for a visit, and we talked sometimes every day until the sun sank behind her Chinese Lantern Tree. She loved her garden and shared her gardening wisdom with me all the time as her knitting needles clicked away making something for her great grandsons or her great granddaughter. Probably what I will remember long into the years ahead will be her passion for audiobooks and her TV programmes, NCIS, the Bill and Heartbeat. Every day when I look out of my kitchen window I will remember Sheelagh with great warmth and love. May she rest in peace. Joseph Hughes, a very sad, bereft friend and neighbour.
