The death has occurred of:
Sean McMENAMIN
Acknowledgement / Month's Mind Mass
Sean McMenamin
The family of the late Sean McMenamin wish to acknowledge the great support they received during their recent sad bereavement from a wide circle of relatives, friends, neighbours and work colleagues, who visited Sean’s wake and attended his funeral service.
We were greatly touched by the many mass cards, floral tributes and other practical contributions and we would like to make particular mention of Fr Daniel Mc Faul, Father Michael Canny and Fr John McDevitt, who visited Sean in his final days in Altnagelvin, Father Michael McCaughey, who attended his wake, and Father Mongan, who celebrated his funeral mass in Long Tower, a moving service enhanced by beautiful music and singing.
The family would further like to acknowledge the wonderful care that Sean received in his last days from all the staff at Altnagelvin, in particular, the nursing staff at Ward 32 and Dr Kevin Harkin and Dr Anne Donnelly, Palliative Care Team, who not only provided excellent medical care but were a great support to all who kept vigil at Sean’s bedside towards the end of his life.
We would also like to mention Sean’s former care homes, Fairview House and Meadowbank, Sean’s Social Worker, Keeva McLaughlin, Sinead Gallagher, LD Nurse and Dr Williams, Sean’s GP. Many staff came to visit Sean in hospital and attended his wake and funeral, which in itself was a great tribute to the regard in which he was held by them.
Last but not least, our deep appreciation to Bradley and McLaughlin, in particular Kieran Dunne, for the customary professionalism and dignified efficiency with which they carried out the bereavement and funeral arrangements.
Sean’s Month’s Mind mass will take place at St. Columba’s Church, Long Tower, at 7.30pm on Thursday 6th June 2024.
Prayers will be offered for all your intentions.
