Acknowledgement from the family of the late Seamus Mooney (RIP).

We, the family of the late Seamus, would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement. We have been overwhelmed by the support and kindness shown to us by our family, friends and the wider community at this difficult time.

Thank you to all those who sent Mass or sympathy cards, brought food or who sent messages through social media. We would also like to extend our gratitude to everyone who helped at the family home during the wake and to all who called at the wake, attended the funeral Mass or viewed online.

A heartfelt thank you to Fr Tremer for his support and guidance. The Requiem Mass, which was offered with such respect and kindness was so fitting for daddy and brought much solace to us as a family.

A special thanks to Margaret Ann and Patrick for their beautiful music and to the readers, Eucharistic Ministers, and those involved in the Offertory procession who helped to make the Mass a celebration of daddy’s memory. We would like to extend our appreciation to the grave diggers who prepared daddy’s final resting place, Helen’s Flowers for their elegant arrangements and CK Foods, along with the team of volunteers at Ardboe Hall who served the food and refreshments following daddy’s funeral.

We extend our deepest thanks to Conan and Pat of Lavery’s Funeral Directors, who managed daddy’s wake and funeral in the most professional and dignified way. Your support and quiet guidance were invaluable to us throughout this sad time.

Lastly, we would also like to acknowledge the Staff at Antrim Area Hospital, especially those in A&E who cared for daddy during his last days and who allowed us time together to say goodbye as a family.
It is impossible to thank everyone individually, but please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our heartfelt appreciation of all of those who paid their respects in any way.
We have loved hearing the stories you shared about daddy’s life, and we are forever grateful for the kind words and deeds that continue to bring us comfort, despite our loss.

Daddy’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in Ardboe on Sunday 30th June at 11.30am. Mass can also be viewed via the parish webcam (link below).

Padre Pio pray for him.
