The death has occurred of:
Seamus “Jim” O'Kane
Jim was a loving husband to his wife Anne of 60 years, Father to Karen and Elaine, Grandad to Alicia, Freya, Oliver, Ava and Enya. He will be missed by all including his brothers Sean and Brian, sister Margaret, his wonderful nieces, nephews, his son-in-law and of course his many dear friends.
Born in Northern Ireland, Oxford was a place Jim loved after moving here in 1961. Jim built his business, raised his family and dedicated over 40 years to support the Samaritans and Homeless charities. As someone who liked to eat well and keep fit Jim was a regular cyclist in the area and enjoyed many cycling challenges. Parkinson's took much of Jim's mobility over the last few years and his hope was that one day there would be a cure to prevent others suffering in the same way as him.
He is much loved and will always be remembered.
