The death has occurred of:
Patrick (Patsy Johnny Pat) McCULLAGH
The family of the late Patsy McCullagh (RIP) would like to express our sincere appreciation to all who sympathised and supported us during our recent bereavement. Patsy spent his final weeks in ward 6 of South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen, and we would like to express thanks to the whole team who were so attentive and gentle in their care of Patsy, particular in his last days.
We are very grateful to all who attended Patsy’s wake and funeral, those who sent Mass and Sympathy cards and expressions of condolence. Particular thanks to Patsy’s friends and neighbours who generously provided practical assistance throughout the wake and funeral period, to those who brought and served food, helped in the house, managed the parking arrangements and ensured that nothing was left to chance. Thank you to Fr James Devine for his attentiveness throughout the period and for celebrating Patsy’s Requiem Mass. We also wish to express our appreciation to the Sacristan, the Altar Servers and to Ciara Fox, whose music and song added greatly to the funeral liturgy. A particular thanks to the gravediggers, Pat, Sean, Mickey, James and Patrick who prepared Patsy’s final resting place with such care – he would have been the first to acknowledge the quality of the job done. Grateful thanks to Raymond and Claire of the Mill Wheel for providing refreshments following the funeral.
We also wish to acknowledge Philip Morris and Michael McGuigan for their professional and sensitive handling of the funeral arrangements, and for their advice and support to us throughout the period.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a sincere expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Patsy acquired much knowledge and wisdom in his 94 years, he was fully in tune with nature and was happiest when on the land. We miss him greatly, and will particularly remember him with each new moon, at the turn of a season, and, when she returns, at the cuckoo’s first call.
Patsy’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Friday 18 October at 7.30pm in St Patrick’s Church, Greencastle.
