The death has occurred of:
Maureen McSheffrey (née Doherty)
We, the family of the late Maureen McSheffery would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and thanks to everyone who sympathised with us and supported us following the recent loss of Maureen, a much-loved mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and great-aunt.
Thank you to all who attended the wake and funeral, sent messages of condolence, Mass cards, sympathy cards, and donations.
We would also like to extend a special thank-you to the wider family circle and friends who supported us throughout our loss, especially at the wake and funeral. Words cannot express how grateful we are for their kindness and generosity.
Sincerest thanks to Father McGavigan for his prayers, comfort and guidance throughout, and for the beautifully fitting Requiem Mass. A huge thanks too to Sarah Griffen for the beautiful singing.
Thank you to all the doctors, nurses and carers who looked after and cared for Maureen, in Rectory Field, Culmore Manor and in Ward 32 Altnagelvin Hospital.
A special word of thanks to Seamus, Deborah, John and Paddy of McLaughlin Funeral Directors managing the wake and funeral arrangements, in such a dignified, compassionate and respectful manner
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our heartfelt and sincere appreciation to all.
Maureen’s months mind mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s church Pennyburn at 6pm on Saturday 5th October 2024.
