The family of the late Mary Magennis (65 Knockaleary Road, Cookstown) wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised, prayed and supported us through the recent passing of our much loved Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
A Heartfelt thanks to the members of Cloughfin pipe band our many neighbours, family and friends, who provided assistance, brought food, mass cards, sympathy cards, sent messages, posted tributes, sent flowers and arranged parking. We greatly appreciate all the empathy, kindness and support we received throughout our sad bereavement it hasn't gone unnoticed.
We are deeply grateful to Father Hughes for the beautiful Requiem Mass and to all those who attended, as well as those who followed the online stream, your presence brought us great comfort.
To Monsignor Curry who gave the Last Rites your kindness and comfort won't ever be forgotten.
A special thank you to Gerry Loughran for the beautiful music, the pipers, readers and gift bearers.
We the family express our sincere thanks to the wounderful carers who attended Mary at home, you were a great support and it was a great comfort and blessing to us. To Dr Norton and the Oaks Family Pratice & District nurses. The Doctors and Nurses at Ward C7 Antrim Area Hospital for the dignified care and comfort they provided our mother in her final days. Also, a special mention to Dr McCloskey & the Laurel House team.
A big thank you to K M Quinn, Funeral Directors for all their help and their professional and dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out.
A special word of thanks to our friends and neighbours for digging the grave for us in preparing our mothers final resting place. Thanks also to the staff of Glenavon Hotel for providing the refreshments after the funeral.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Marys Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 17th February 2024 at 11.00am in St Joseph’s Church, Killeenan.
