The family and friends of Mary Kavanagh would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude towards all those who attended Mary’s wake and funeral. For all the love, support, flowers, gifts and phone calls - thank you!
Thank you to the musicians for the beautiful music at the service, it was just perfect. To those who came from far and wide thank you. Everyone knows who made an effort and for that, we’ll be forever grateful. We can’t say goodbye to the grief, but we can hold her memory warmly in our hearts!
Sincere and special thanks to the doctors and nurses of ward 50 at Altnagelvin Hospital, the Waterside Hospital and the Foyle Hospice. We thank you as s a family for the care and delicate love she got day in and day out from the District Nursing Team, thank you nurses! And also thank you to her wonderful carers, who gave Mary dignity and strength every single day. You became part of the family and she loved the craic with you all. The kindness, empathy and compassion was never unnoticed, thank you so much for all you have done
Thanks also to Dr O’Carroll and all the team at Foyleside family practice who provided an amazing and wonderful service to Mary right until the end.
Thanks to Fr Michael McCaughey and Fr John McDevitt for their support during this difficult time.
Finally, thanks to Bradley & McLaughlin Funeral Directors for the professional and dignified way that they carried out the funeral arrangements.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation.
Mary’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Friday 17th November at 10:00am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown.
