The family of the late Mary Cassidy wish to acknowledge with sincere thanks everyone who sympathised and supported us through our recent sad bereavement.
Thankyou to all who attended the wake, travelled distances, telephoned, messaged or posted condolences via social media, sent floral tributes, mass and sympathy cards, provided refreshments or donated to Foyle Branch Parkinson’s Association.
A special word of thanks to Fr Michael McGaughey for celebrating such a beautiful requiem mass and to Fr Paul Farren for delivering the Prayer of Commendation at the conclusion of the mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan Noreen Quigley and all who took part in the liturgy especially the readers and those who carried the Offertory gifts. Thankyou to Fidelma McNamee, Aine McDaid and Robert Peoples for the beautiful, reverent and uplifting singing and music which greatly enhanced the funeral mass. We acknowledge our appreciation of the kindness of Fidelma Lynch who administered Holy Communion to our mother shortly before she died .
We deeply appreciate the exceptional care and attention given by Dr Lal Singh and staff of Clarendon Medical over the years and Richard, Edel and staff of Medicare, Racecourse Pharmacy who diligently looked after our mothers medical prescriptions.
We acknowledge with gratitude and thanks those staff from the Foyle Hospice Palliative Care Team , Marie Curie Rapid Response Team and District Nurses for the gentle and considerate care they gave our mother during her final days.
Thankyou to Shantallow Community Centre for kindly providing extra seating and water geyser and to Eugene and Darren McDaid for supplying and installing a gazebo for use at the wake. Very much appreciated.
Thankyou to Adair and Neely Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements. We are truly grateful.
Many thanks to all our extended family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues for their generous support and loving care. Words cannot express what your prayers , kindness and generosity mean to us.

The Months Mind Mass for Mary will be celebrated on Saturday 17th August at 6:30pm in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown.
