MELLON
MARSHALL
1A PRIMROSE PARK,
SION MILLS
20TH AUGUST 2024

The family of the late Marshall Mellon, Sion Mills, wish to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who sympathised with us in our recent sad loss and to everyone who supported our family, visited, attended the wake and funeral, sent Mass Cards, sympathy cards, flowers and gifts and who sent prayers and good wishes. Thanks to Fr Malachy Gallagher for his help and support while Marshall was in hospital and during the wake and funeral and for a lovely Requiem Mass. Thanks too to all the clergy who visited and prayed with Marshall in Altnagelvin Hospital and who called to the wake. Thanks to Quigley and Son Funeral Directors for the professional and dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements and to the gravedigger. Thanks to the sacristan, Stella, and Andy Patton and to Ciara, Tara and Noel for the beautiful music during the Funeral Mass. We would like to convey our heartfelt appreciation to our relatives and friends who helped throughout the wake and for their continued support: for the use of the Parish Hall car park, for preparing and serving refreshments during the wake and a special thank you to Aideen, Emma and Matthew for the lovely meal after the funeral in Big John’s Bar, Sion Mills. A very special and sincere thankyou to the paramedics and ambulance crews who attended to Marshall and to the staff of A&E and particularly Wards 24 and 42 in Altnagelvin Hospital, who cared for Marshall, and his family, with professionalism and compassion. To the Palliative Care Teams in Altnagelvin and the Foyle Hospice who were so attentive and supportive, we extend our grateful thanks. Thank you to the staff and doctors in Mourneside Medical Practice and special thanks also to the Cardiac Support Team in Altnagelvin and to all other medical teams who supported Marshall in the years prior to his final illness.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere gratitude.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.

Marshall’s Month’s Mind Mass will be on Saturday 21st September at 6pm in St. Theresa’s Church, Sion Mills.
