The family of the late Marie Maxwell (née Mullin), 1 The Crescent, Clady and formerly of Church Street, Strabane, would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone who sympathised and supported us in anyway during our recent bereavement. We have been overwhelmed by the kindness we received over this sad time.
We send our sincere thanks to all the various medical teams who cared for Marie during her journey of ill health, Doctor McDermott, Consultant and Doctor Canning, Cardiologist. We would like to extend a special thanks to Paul Mc Elwee and his nursing team of Ward 42, Altnagelvin Hospital, who looked after Marie so well in her final weeks.
Thanks to the team at Strabane Health Centre, Doctor John Etherson her GP, the District Nursing Team, Podiatry Team, Pharmacists, OT and the Northern Ireland Ambulance.
Words cannot express our appreciation for the exceptional level of care provided by the various carers, who attended to Marie in her home over recent years.
Deepest gratitude to Father Michael McCaughey for his support and pastoral care over the wake and funeral and to Father Boyle for officiating at the funeral, to all the clergy who supported us, Father Declan Boland, Father Michael Doherty, Father Ciarán Hegarty and Father Patrick Lagan, Hospital Chaplain. A special thanks to Blonde and Brian for the beautiful music during the Funeral Mass.
We wish to thank our extended family, friends, neighbours and all those who travelled to attend the wake and funeral. Thanks to those who sent mass cards, sympathy cards and letters of condolences, telephoned, sent floral tributes or gifts to the home.
Thanks to Flanagan’s, VIVO Clady, John Hannigan’s XL Strabane and Café Milano who provided refreshments to the wake, to Majella McGonagle for the beautiful flowers to the family home, to Denis Hegarty for providing the Padre Pio mitt and to Mary Campbell for her kind companionship to Marie.
Our sincere appreciation to Jude, Quigley’s Funeral Directors, for the dignified and professional manner in which he conducted the funeral arrangements and to John Coyle, grave digger.
A special thanks to Urney GAA Club for the guards of honour provided. Thanks to Michael Kelly, MK’s for providing refreshments after the funeral.

Marie's Month Mind Mass will be celebrated in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Strabane, on Wednesday, 8th of January at 7:00pm.
