The death has occurred of:
Marie Blee (née Gilroy)
We, Marie’s son Michael, daughter Gráinne, son-in-law Ciaran, granddaughter Aoibheann and wider family circle, wish to express our genuine, heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to everyone who sympathised with us over our very sad and great loss.
We wish to thank Marie’s close friends who provided great comfort to her, especially over the last eighteen months after the loss of her beloved husband, James (Seamus).
We thank all the many members of the various medical teams who cared for Marie with such compassion during her years of sickness. Marie met some very special people along her journey of ill health whose lives touched her life.
Words alone cannot express our appreciation to all the staff at the Foyle Hospice. They provided an exceptional level of care,
not just to Marie but also to us as a family. We will be forever grateful for all their kindness during Marie’s last few months.
A special word of thanks to Fr Eamon McDevitt and Fr Gabriel Dolan, both of whom have supported our family over many years. We wish to thank them for visiting Marie at home, in hospital and in the hospice. Our sincerest thanks also to Fr Colum Clerkin,
Fr Roni Zacharias and Fr Michéal McGavigan who attended to Marie during her precious last days at the Foyle Hospice.
We wish to convey heartfelt thanks to those who supported us as a family in so many ways, those who travelled to be with us, those who assisted us with Marie’s wake and funeral, those who sent Mass and sympathy cards,
made donations to the Foyle Hospice and those who have remembered us in their prayers.
Many thanks to Fr McDevitt and Fr Dolan for the beautiful Requiem Mass and to the Organist and Soloist for their comforting contributions that we will always remember fondly.
Our sincere appreciation to Quigley Undertakers for the dignified and professional way they conducted
all the funeral arrangements.
We trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all in grateful appreciation.
Marie’s Months Mind will be held in St Mary’s Church, Aughabrack
on Wednesday 04 December at 7.30 p.m.
