The death has occurred of:
Margaret Poyntz (née McCanny)
We, the family of the late Margaret Poyntz, beloved wife of the late Frank Poyntz (RIP) and adored mother of Gerard, Frances, Gary, Patrick, Margaret(RIP) Sinead, Jack, Mark, Ursula and Joanne wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised with us, following our recent sad bereavement. Mum was the most caring and gentle person that we have known and she has enriched our lives for ever.
We would like to acknowledge and thank Dr Paddy Scully and his practice, Bradley's Pharmacy and the staff of the SWAH hospital who cared for Mum during her illness. We are indebted to the dedicated team of nurses and carers who visited daily and helped make it possible for us, to continue mum's care at home, which was her dearest wish.
We would like to thank all those who attended the wake and funeral and to our friends, neighbours and extended family who brought food and assisted in any way, we are eternally grateful. Sincere thanks to all those who sent letters, Mass or Sympathy cards, offered their condolences by phone, or left messages on social media. A special word of thanks to Wolfe Tones GAA football club for their assistance with parking and the coordination of the transport to and from the wake.
Our heartfelt thanks goes to Fr. Canning for his visits to our family home and for the beautiful funeral service. We would also like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to Shaunagh Poyntz and her friends, the music at the funeral was wonderful.
Thanks also to Sean O'Kane, Funeral Director, for his caring and professional manner, and the gravediggers who prepared Mum's final resting place. Grateful thanks must also go to members of the Hall Committee for providing refreshments in the hall after the funeral service.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude. Our mum will be for ever loved and missed. May she rest in peace.
Mum's Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 12th May, at 11pm in St Patrick's Church, Langfield, Drumquin.
