The family of the late Laura Hughes would like to express our gratitude to all who sympathised and supported us through the recent passing of our much loved daughter, sister, sister in law and aunt.
We would like to thank the staff of Loy Medical Centre, Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, Antrim Area Hospital, Royal Victoria Hospital , Belfast City Hospital Cancer Centre and Charis Cancer Care for the care and kindness shown to Laura during her short illness.
Heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and helped out at the wake. Thank you to those who brought food, sent mass and sympathy cards and messages of support. Thank you to all who donated to Cancer Research, as this was a cause very close to Laura’s heart.
A special thank you to Father Lawrence Boyle for conducting the Requiem Mass, the Sacristan, Eucharistic Ministers and all who contributed to Laura’s funeral service. Thank you to Andrea Begley and Plunkett McGartland for their beautiful singing and music, and to Stephen Mallon for the flowers. We would like to especially thank Joanna and Niall A Loughran Funeral Directors for their dignified, professional and respectful service during this difficult time. Thank you to all who attended the funeral or joined us by webcam. A special acknowledgement to Laura’s friends and work colleagues who were great support during her illness and travelled long distances to pay their respects. Thank you to Michael McElhatton and staff of the Greenvale Hotel for the refreshments provided after the funeral.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually we hope that this acknowledgement will be taken as a token of our gratitude and appreciation.
Laura’s Month’s Mind Mass will be offered on Sunday 1st December at 12 noon in Holy Trinity Church, Cookstown.May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.
