Died 9th October 2022.
Kathleen passed away on the 9th of October 2022. A widely respected, devoted family lady and much-loved wife, mother, mother in law, grandmother, sister, sister in law, aunt and friend.
We, her family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement.
We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank-you to those who called to the family home, telephoned, sent Mass or sympathy cards, flowers or donations in lieu of flowers and to those who left messages online or via social media.
Thanks to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Mass or via the webcam. Sincere thanks to our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped in so many ways, to help us grieve as a family, especially those who travelled long distances from Scotland and Donegal to pay their respects.
A special word of thanks to Father Padraig Mac Kenna PP and Canon John McKenna PE for their spiritual support and the comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who assisted with the Mass, especially our musicians Siobhan McAuley, Rory Blake and Fionualla McHugh who provided the beautiful music. We will also be eternally grateful to family friend Micheala McCusker for her tremendous practical support through the period of Kathleen’s illness and passing.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. Our thanks also to the grave digger for preparing Kathleen’s final resting place, and to all the staff at Mahon’s Hotel for the refreshments after the funeral.
We would also like to thank Kathleen’s carers Anne McLauglin and Isobel Magee and all the staff at the South West Acute Hospital, for their excellent level of care and attention to Kathleen during her illness.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Kathleen’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Macartan’s Church, Trillick on Saturday 12th November at 8pm.
Our Lady pray for her.
