The death has occurred of:
John McDonald
Loughooney, Smithborough, Co Monaghan, Friday 19th November 21 peacefully at Cavan General Hospital in the loving care of his family and hospital staff.
Dearly beloved husband of Anne and much loved father of Gary (Marie), Conor and Niall. Devoted grandfather of Iarlaith and Tiernàn. Loving brother of Maureen Gogarty. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Teresa, sisters Geraldine Lynch and Noreen McDonald.
Reposing at his home from today Saturday at 3pm until 10pm and Sunday from 3pm to 10pm. Removal on Monday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St. Mary's Chapel, Magheraney for funeral mass at 11am. Burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery. John's home and funeral mass will be private to family, friends and neighbours. Anyone wishing to pay their respects may do so along the route to the chapel on Monday morning adhering to social distancing guidelines at all times.
