CONWAY, John
26 Main St, Newtownstewart. Co Tyrone.
Died 13th August 2024.

We, the family of the late John would like to express our deep appreciation to all who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our recent sad bereavement and throughout John’s illness. John was the dearly loved husband of Colette, father of Mark, Barry (Cliona), Peter (Maria) and Catherine (Kevin), a devoted grandfather, brother and friend. We would like to thank everyone who attended the wake and funeral, sent Mass or sympathy cards, left messages and made donations to Dementia NI in lieu of flowers. A special thank you to those who helped in any way during the wake, a special thanks to the ladies who helped with the teas and to those who provided food and refreshments.

We thank Fr Roland Colhoun and Fr Peter McCawille for visiting John during his illness and for the comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation to the Sacristans, Eucharistic Minister and to the musicians.

Thanks is extended to funeral director Paul Gallagher and Michael McGuigan for their respectful and professional handling of the funeral arrangements and all their guidance offered during this time. And to the gravedigger for preparing Johns final resting place.

Thank you to those who helped with traffic management on the bypass and local facilities who offered parking during the wake and funeral.

Appreciation to MMB Catering for the refreshments after the burial.

Thank you to the staff of Newtownstewart Medical Centre, Bradley's Pharmacy and the dedicated team of carers who visited daily and helped us care for John. We are eternally grateful for the help you gave us as a family and the care provided to John. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

John’s memory is treasured, his absence deeply felt and we pray that his gentle soul finds peace and eternal rest. John’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 15th September in St Eugenes Church, Glenock, Newtownstewart at 11.30am.
