The death has occurred of:
Jack & Eileen Kelly
The family of the late John Joseph (Jack) Kelly (RIP), who died on 14th November 2024 and Eileen Kelly (RIP who died 13th October 2023) want to thank, most sincerely, all those who sympathised with us and supported us during our recent sad bereavements.
A heartfelt thanks to our family, friends and neighbours who supported us throughout our parents’ wakes and funerals. Thank you to everyone who attended, brought food, joined the funeral masses via the parish webcam and to those who sent mass cards, sympathy cards and messages or helped in any way.
We are grateful to Fr. David O’Kane for his spiritual support and for celebrating our parents’ funeral masses.
We would also like to thank the gravediggers Kevin and Shane, the sacristan, the singers and members of the community who helped with the masses and to McLaughlin Funeral Directors, Dungiven for carrying out the funeral arrangements in such a professional and dignified way.
Also thank you to Alison and to Cassidy’s staff for providing the refreshments after the services.
Special thanks to the staff at Cornfield Care Centre (Green Lane and Castle Lane) who cared for our parents so well in the final months of their lives. We would also like to thank the staff at Limavady Health Centre GP Practices who cared for our parents during their time in Cornfield Care Centre. Also thank you to Foyle Hospice who cared for our mother in her last two weeks of life.
We would also like to thank the Social Work Staff at The Waterside Rural Team for their excellent attention and care of our parents and for organising their care. We would also like to thank the Carers from the Western Trust, North West Care, Bryson Care, Strabane and District Caring Services as well as the staff in Altnagelvin Hospital, The Waterside Hospital (Wards 3 and 4) and Causeway Hospital A&E, Medical Assessment Unit and Macmillan Hospital Services for their care and support.
We would also like to thank all the staff at Claudy Health Centre who cared for our parents so well for many years. A special word of thanks must go to the local, private carers from the community who worked so well with Jack for many hours in the last two years.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere thanks and appreciation.
Jack’s Month Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Joseph’s Church, Craigbane on Sunday 22nd December 2024 at 10.00am.
