Month's Mind Mass / Acknowledgement
Francis (Vincent) McCloskey
With a broken heart, his wife Annie and family would like to express heartfelt thanks and appreciation for all those here and in America who sympathised and supported us in our recent bereavement. Many thanks to our extended family and neighbours – new and old, who called at our home and were a constant comfort to us.
Our sincere thanks to Father Sean Doherty and Father Patrick Lagan who attended our father in hospital. To Father Farren who brought such comfort to our home and who delivered a beautiful funeral mass. And to Anne Marie Hickey who sang so beautifully.
To Bradley McLaughlin funeral directors for the dignified and sensitive manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.
Thank you to the doctors at Abbey Medical, Bradleys Chemist Springtown, the ambulance crew, and the doctors and nurses in A&E.
Thank you especially to our fathers’ carers. They came into our home at a very hard time as strangers but very quickly became friends and someone we very much depended on.
To the doctors, nurses and staff of Ward 23, there are no words to thank you. You treated our father with such kindness, so professionally and with such dignity, never giving up on him. We will never forget the kindness you showed us a family grieving.
A special thank you to our old friend, Noel McCartney and to the republican movement for the draping of our fathers’ coffin with our national flag.
Thank you.
Month's mind mass will be in St Eugene’s Cathedral 4th May 2024 at 7.30pm.
