Duffield Fiona Joyce née Bond 16th October 2024. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at Marie Curie, following a long illness. Devoted Mother of Graeme and Adam, loving partner of Johnny, beloved sister of David and Liz, sister in law of Nigel and loving Auntie of Alex and Elise. A celebration of Fiona’s life will be held on Wednesday 23rd October at City Church Bangor (1st Bangor Presbyterian Church) at 1.00pm, followed by a private committal at Clandeboye Cemetery. Family Flowers only please, donations in memory if desired to Marie Curie c/o Melville Morgan Funeral Directors, 195 Clandeboye Road, Bangor BT19 1AA.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the death of my former teacher, Fiona Duffield. Mrs Duffield was an inspiring, charismatic, and principled educator who sought to foster success in all of her pupils.

I will personally remember her as an influential figure during my time at Ashfield Boys’ High School, where she cemented an enthusiasm for learning in me. Her professional integrity, blended with her unfaltering kindness, instilled aspiration in those she nurtured.
