Acknowledgement.
Elizabeth (Liz) Roddy, Aughafad Road, Fintona, Co Tyrone. Died 12th October 2024.

The family of the late Liz, wish to extend our deep gratitude and warmest thanks to everyone who offered their condolences, prayers, and support during our recent sad bereavement. Liz was a widely respected lady, devoted wife of Tony, adored mother of Susie, mother in law of Poraic, much loved grandmother of Melissa, Jessica and Rebecca, and a very dear sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend.

Thank you to everyone who called to the wake house, helped or brought food, this was greatly appreciated. Our thanks also to those who sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages, or flowers, lined the funeral route and to those who joined us at the Requiem Mass.

We are blessed to have the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues, your support throughout this difficult time has helped us in so many ways.

A special word of thanks to Father Sean Mulligan C.C. for his spiritual support and the very comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, and our singer Paschal McAnenly who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Tommy for preparing Liz’s final resting place. Also to Roisin of Nettles and Petals for the beautiful floral tribute, and to the St Patrick’s Hall ladies for providing the most welcome refreshments after the burial.

And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to the health professionals and devoted carers who helped care for Liz, especially the Doctors and All Medical Staff at Fintona Medical Centre, Belfast City Hospital and Omagh Palliative Care Unit. We are so very grateful for all your care, help and assistance.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Liz is loved and missed every day. May her gentle, generous, kind soul be granted peace and eternal rest. Her Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Lawrence’s Church, Fintona on Saturday 16th November at 6pm. Our Lady pray for her.
