ARMSTRONG Edward “Ned” - 14th January 2024 passed away peacefully in Antrim Area Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband of Jean. Loving father of Eddie, Chris, Carrie and Kelly. A much-loved grandad of Bethany, Noah and Jonah.

A service to celebrate the life of Ned will be held in 51 Sunnylands Avenue, Carrickfergus BT38 8JL on Monday 22nd January 2024 at 10.45am followed by a committal service in Antrim and Newtownabbey Crematorium.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if desired, made payable to Parkinsons UK Northern Ireland Wellington Park Business Centre, 3 Wellington Park, Malone Road, Belfast BT9 6DJ or The Dog’s Trust via Ned’s MuchLoved tribute page via www.mulhollandsfuneraldirectors.com/funeral-notices/

My beautiful Dad. What can I say that you don't already know. It's been over a month now since you have gone but I am happy you are no longer suffering. You knew who was there for you and who wasn't. I'm just glad that I got to help you during the worst struggle in your life during the horrible disease that was PSP.
Those who didn't see you didn't know. You have moved onto your next journey. You were the best dad & grandad and I know you are with mum everyday. She did everything for you as you would have for her.
Bethany and I miss you everyday and we know when the sun is shining bright on us that we can feel your presence near us. You kept your promise to show us all you were near us so thank you.
I'm so glad I got to be there with you every step of the journal 17 days in hospital and you are now finally free. Free from pain, suffering and free from your body. We will meet again until then keep a watch over us all especially dear mum. We love you but we know you could no longer carry on with the suffering. You will never be forgotten you have left a lasting impression on us all.
Love you, miss you and will be thinking about you everyday. Love Kelly, Bethany and your dear wife Jean.
Dad a legend has left this world but they always take the good first the rotten people are always left to last.
