DR STEPHEN McQUAID

McQuaid, September 1st, 2024, peacefully at home, Stephen, dearly loved husband of Elaine, loving father of Hayley, step father of Keri and Peter, a much loved son of Annie and the late John McQuaid and brother of Sean, Noel, Dympna, Anne and Kieran.

Friends and family are welcome to call at his late home from 2pm to 9pm Tuesday and Wednesday. Family only please on Thursday.

Stephen's cortege will be passing Dromore Rugby Club at approx 10.45am.

Funeral Service at Roselawn Crematorium on Friday, September 6th, 2024 at 12 noon.

No flowers please. Donations if desired for Macmillan Cancer Support, cheques made payable to Brian Poots & Sons, Funeral Services, 106 Skeagh Road, Dromore, BT25 2PZ.

Will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by All the Family.

Sincere condolences to Elaine, Hayley, Keri and Peter. I have very fond memories of Stephen, having met and worked with him as part of a research project relating to multiple sclerosis. He trained my first PhD student in histological techniques and was a great person to work with. Kind and fun, always smiling. He was instrumental in helping me to obtain funding for our research in Galway and co-authored five research papers with us, all relating to MS. We last met not long before COVID, in Belfast and it was great to catch up, even briefly. We will never forget Stephen. Una FitzGerald, University of Galway. Thursday 05 September 2024
