The wife and family of the late Daniel Lavelle would like to express our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to everyone who offered condolences during our recent tragic loss.
We would like to thank all our relatives, extended family, friends and neighbours who attended the wake and funeral and who supported us in so many ways.
Thank you to those who reached out to sympathise through phone calls, messages, social media, mass and sympathy cards, brought food and lent a helping hand at Daniel’s family home during this difficult time, especially the Rice family and Mark and Marcella Connolly. A special word of thanks to Peter McLaughlin (McLaughlin Marquees), Mark Donohue (Donohue Marquees Limited), Seamus O’Kane (diggermats.co.uk), Louise Prunty and Mark Hamilton (HP Hire, Enniskillen) for all their help and assistance.
Words cannot express our deepest admiration and respect to all the emergency services who attended the scene and assisted Daniel and the family in the immediate aftermath of the accident, especially NIAS, NIFS, PSNI and Air Ambulance NI. Your professionalism and sensitivity are very much appreciated. We would like to acknowledge Andy, Chrissie and the staff of Woods Auto Repair; your compassion shown to the family was a source of great comfort.
Sincere thanks to all those who stood out to pay their respects to Daniel as he made his final journey home through Maguiresbridge and Lisnaskea. This was incredibly moving for us all. Thank you to Maguiresbridge St. Marys’s GFC; Lisbellaw United FC; St Patrick’s GFC, Donagh; St Kevin’s College, Lisnaskea; Bunscoil an Traonaigh and The Dan Morris Bhoys of Erne Celtic Supporters Club for the guard of honour and to those who carried Daniel’s coffin from his childhood home through Donagh village.
The pastoral support offered to the family has been a source of great comfort. We are eternally grateful to Fr Pearse Mullan for his prayers, guidance and the befitting funeral service he delivered. Thanks also to Canon Jimmy McPhillips and Fr Kevin Malcolmson for their continued ministry.
Thank you to Irene for the lovely flowers and to Tully for the beautiful music. Many thanks also to Marty, Margaret and the Staff of St Pat’s Clubhouse for the refreshments following the funeral.

Daniel’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Chapel, Donagh on 26th October 2024 at 6.30pm. Refreshments will be available in St Pat’s Clubhouse, Donagh afterwards.
