I’m so sorry to hear about Mary Jo’s passing, and I give my condolences to all of her family and friends who I’m sure will miss her terribly. I’m one of the medical students that Mary Jo helped look after, and I think I speak for every one of my colleagues when I say that the kindness she showed us left an indelible mark on all of us. Mary Jo’s warmth, friendliness, and willingness to help really enabled all of us to do our best in a new and unfamiliar environment. We will never forget her selflessness and compassion, if we were all half as kind as Mary Jo, the world would be a much better place. May she rest in peace.
