Pam taught me what love is. Pam showed my twin sister Mary and I unconditional love. Pam was and still is my best friend, she listened to me when no one else could or would. She held me empathically in a way I hadn’t ever experienced. She was always there to listen to me when I was having a hard time. The moments I spent with Pam are the happiest moments of my life, she is with me forever. Pam celebrated and encouraged me to be myself when others wouldn’t, she taught me what self esteem was. Mary and I had our own bedroom in Pam’s house, Pam would hold hold both our hands till we fell asleep, letting me know that even though I often took a lot longer to sleep that she cherished it, she was happy to sit with me as every minute we spent together was special. My closest friends knew Pam, coming to her home and care home to visit her. Pam was and still is the biggest light in my life. Pam was a creative and free spirited woman, her beauty and kind nature was striking. One way that I honour Pam is by promising her that I will be as loving, caring and protective of myself as she was to me. The love I have for Pam is limitless.
