Kate was strong. She represented those strengths with her dreams of political fairness for all people. She represented it as a single mother of seven for many years. And lastly, she represented it by fighting through ill health at the end of her life for many years. She demanded respect for herself and others. Kate loved her family, and took in outsiders if they proved themselves worthy. She was proud to be a Kenny, and made her children proud of her. I loved Kate, she let me call her mum and gave me her daughter for a time, and we gave her a beautiful granddaughter in return who on Kates last day, received one of Kates last beautiful smiles.
