May I please convey my most sincerest condolences to you and your wider family on the passing of John.
I am a veterinary surgeon who used to work for John's cousin Sean McBride of Antrim in 1976-77. I have very fond memories of working there. I did indeed speak to John on the phone a couple of times but never met him. I last saw Sean in 2001 at his home in Ballycastle during the Foot and Mouth outbreak. I attended his funeral some time later and had a long chat with Cathy that day.
