Sammons, Claire, (nee Monteith), formerly of Airdrie, Scotland and Omagh, Co Tyrone. Died 25th June 2024.

Claire’s daughters Louise and Carissa, partner Stevie, brothers Kevin and Raymond and the wider family circle, wish to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who has sympathised with and supported us since Claire’s passing.

We thank everyone who attended the wake and funeral, sent Mass or sympathy cards, flowers, messages, condolences via social media and donations to Cancer Care.

A special thank you to those who helped during the wake and those who provided food and refreshments during this period.

Special thanks to Father Eugene Hasson PP for his spiritual guidance and the comforting requiem Mass and to Canon John McKenna PE Trillick who concelebrated the Mass. Thanks also to Father Michael McCaul CC for his prayers in the Cemetery and to Father Sean Mulligan CC who offered prayers during the wake. We convey our appreciation to all who participated in the Liturgy with particular thanks to Cara McGillion for the beautiful music during Mass.

Our deepest appreciation goes to all who cared for Claire during her illness, to St. Andrew’s Hospice Airdrie for the special care and attention they provided throughout her time there and to the Marie Curie nurses and palliative care team who looked after and supported Claire in her final days. Also, to the many doctors, nurses, health professionals and support staff at the various hospitals who cared for Claire over so many years.

Thanks to McAtee Funeral Directors for the professional and dignified manner in which they carried out the complete funeral arrangements and especially to Pat for the personal attention he gave to all the family needs. Our thanks to the gravediggers and The Coach Inn for the refreshments after the burial.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deepest appreciation and gratitude for your thoughts, kindness and support at this sad time.

Claire’s month’s mind Mass will be celebrated on Monday 29th July in Sacred Heart Church Omagh at 7.30pm. Our Lady pray for her.
