Our gratitude goes to all those who attended the wake, telephoned, sent mass and sympathy cards or letters of condolence or attended the Funeral Mass. To those who gave donations to Pulmonary Fibrosis Research and Diabetes N.I., thank you for your generosity.
To all our relatives, neighbours and friends who helped during the wake; those who brought food and refreshments and served teas. To Ballinderry Shamrocks GAC for organising the stewarding and car parking and to Aidan Nevin for the use of his field as a car park.
Sincere thanks to all the medical personnel who attended to daddy’s medical needs - Coagh and Stewartstown District Nursing team, Trust Care team, Mid-Ulster Respiratory team, The Diamond Medical Centre and O’Brien’s Pharmacy.
A Special thank you to Fr Peter Donnelly P.P. for his attendance to daddy; for his spiritual support to us as a family and for his truly fitting homily during the celebration of the Requiem Mass. Also, to Archbishop Eamon Martin for his gracious presence at daddy’s wake. We were both humbled and honoured by his visit. Thanks to the Vicar General of the Archdiocese, Very Rev Kevin Donaghy for his attendance at the funeral and assistance at the graveside.
Many thanks to Claire Scullion for the beautiful singing and Claire O’Kane for assisting with the distribution of the Eucharist.
We would also like to acknowledge the various individuals and groups for the Guard of Honour, representing daddy’s involvement in the local community over the years . Thanks also, to the staff and pupils of St Patrick’s Academy, Dungannon for their presence.
Thanks to Camillus Quinn and his staff from Kinturk Cultural Centre for providing the refreshments afterwards and to Ballinderry A.O.H for the use of their facilities.
Finally, we would like to commend Mark and Philip Cassidy of Cassidy Funeral Directors for the professional, sensitive and dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation.
