McILWRATH - Billy, 30th October 2024
The children and extended family of the late Billy McIlwrath wish to sincerely thank all of those who sympathised and consoled them on their recent loss. To those who called at the funeral home, attended the funeral, sent sympathy and mass cards, flowers, brought gifts or remembered us in anyway, your kindness will always be very much appreciated. Thank you to all of our kind friends and neighbours for their help and continuing support.
Thank you very much to Canon Emerson and the priests in the Antrim Parish for the many visits with dad over the years, both at home and in hospital. Thank you to Fr. Jain for conducting the funeral mass and committal.
We are extremely grateful to Nicola, Orla & Eva for making the service so special and poignant with their singing and music. And also to Pat, for adding a very personal touch by singing dad’s favourite song at the graveside.
A special thanks to the GP’s and staff of Dr Kidd & Cosgrove’s Practice in Antrim Health Centre for the years of care, respect and compassion shown to dad. And also we would like to thank the colorectal oncology and heart failure teams in Antrim Area Hospital, and mention the members of staff in the emergency department and different wards who showed dad the care and compassion he deserved on the many admissions he had through his illness.
Many thanks to Bairds Funeral Directors for their considerate and dignified handling of every detail of the wake and funeral.
Thank you to Andrew and his team in Massereene Golf Club for their professional attention and services after the burial.
Billy’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 15th December in St. Comgall’s Church, Antrim at 11am.
